Amanda Brugel

Tessa Tessa Amanda AmandaPointe Claire is a sleepy town on the island in Montreal called"the West Island. Many people unfamiliar with the word often think that it's a isolated island to the west of Montreal In reality, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from the city of Lachine west. The West Island is frequently referred to as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel, but while it's true that she was born there the time she spent there was not long. Brugel grew in Courtice close to Oshawa. She hoped to be dancing at first however due to the speed of growth, she surpassed all the dancers she had. In a piece in The Toronto Star she admitted, "In heels at 6' 1 inch. Once I had outgrown my male partners and stopped dancing, I quit. Some former dancers move into acting. For Brugel, she was encouraged by a teacher of drama at the high school. It was the teacher who recommended she take on a part in the annual school production. It was a trial run and she ended up playing the character of Anne of Green Gables. A Fine Arts Talent Award at York University led her to the Theatre Program that she attended until 2000 with a bachelor's degree in art degree in fine arts.
